Antonia Hausmann and Johannes Lauer devote themselves to the trombone luminaries J. J. Johnson and Kai Winding

… und mit Philip Frischkorn (p), Carl Wittig (kb) und Philipp Scholz (dr) haben sie sich eine vielversprechende Rhythmusgruppe dazugeholt, mit der sie auch Stücke von Jiggs Whigham und Carl Fontanas Platte »Nice ‚N‘ Easy« spielen werden. Der 1924 in Indianapolis geborene J. J. Johnson gilt als bedeutendster Nachkriegsposaunist, er trat mit
Max Roach, Charlie Parker und Dizzy Gillespie sowie mit Miles Davis auf, dessen Album »Birth of the Cool« er mit einspielte. Mit dem1922 in Aarhus geborenen Posaunisten Kai Winding, der ebenfalls bei den Aufnahmen von »Birth of the Cool« beteiligt war, gründete er 1954 das Duo Jay and Kai. Winding arbeitete u.a. mit Gerry Mulligan und Carl Fontana sowie mit den Giants of Jazz (Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Stitt, Thelonious Monk, Al McKibbon und Art Blakey). Mit Bill Watrous, Albert Mangelsdorff und Jiggs Whigham formierte er in den 60ern die Gruppe Trombone Summit.
