Formation of the band, Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award and performance at the Leipzig Jazz Days in 2013, debut album on Enja Records in 2014, Echo Jazz as Newcomer of the Year in 2015: drummer Eva Klesse and her band with Evgeny Ring (saxophone), Philip Frischkorn (piano) and Robert Lucaciu (double bass) are setting a pace that hardly seems possible. And they just keep on going this year: on October 31, the second record, "Obenland", will be released and presented on an extensive tour - from Munich to Paris to Berlin. And Leipzig! We are looking forward to detail-sharp chamber jazz with variable timbres and energetic peaks.
And just to put it in black and white: the winners of the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award of the Marion-Ermer-Foundation of the last four years are Eva Klesse (2013), Philip Frischkorn (2014 with Trio.Diktion), Evgeny Ring (2015) and Robert Lucaciu (2016)!
