The Dizzy Birds are a traditional jazz band founded in Berlin by six young musicians from different countries who love New Orleans jazz despite a wide variety of musical socializations. The sextet hardly ever plays in pedestrian zones and at underground parties, rather the Dizzy Birds accompany the most renowned acts from New Orleans to big jazz and swing dance events. The band's sound revives the original, raw and powerful early jazz: very entertaining and very danceable. Inspired by Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong and Sidney Bechet, the band delivers fresh interpretations and gripping arrangements that never fail to thrill swing dancers, jazz lovers and partying crowds in clubs.
