Charlie Parker Kaleidoscope
Pianist Philip Frischkorn performs "Recomposed - The Charlie Parker Kaleidoscope" at the Telegraph on 8/7.
With his band Trio.Diktion he won the Leipzig Jazz Young Talent Award last year, and with the Eva Klesse Quartet he has just been awarded the Echo Jazz: as an undoubted further improvement, he is now playing the final concert of his bachelor's degree with Richie Beirach (although he has long since begun his master's degree with Michael Wollny). In doing so, he listens to the echoes of the past, both his personal and that of the genre, with his great role model Charlie Parker. With a sense of tradition and a spirit of innovation at the same time, he creates his personal "Charlie Parker Kaleidoscope". Frischkorn, who was born in Munich and grew up primarily with classical music, will be accompanied by bassist Paul Lapp and drummer Philipp Scholz.
