Anna-Lena Schnabel Quartet
Awesome band around the young saxophonist from Hamburg on 13.6. half past eight at the Telegraph
Anna-Lena Schnabel (sax), Florian Weber (p), Thomas Morgan (kb) and Dan Weiss (dr)
The piano is prepared, with books or bottles. The sound box of the saxophone remains unused from time to time, only the mouthpiece (whose reed is traditionally made of bamboo) is then played. The sound of the tabla gives some pieces a Far Eastern touch. Also classical music, rock, blues and tango shimmer again and again through the music of Anna-Lena Schnabel. The still-young Hamburg saxophonist has formed an international quartet and recorded the album "Books, Bottles and Bamboo" in New York, which is now being released on the renowned Enja label.
Tickets from 8 euros at Culton ''' and at the box office
