Cancelled!
All concerts canceled until the end of April - replacement dates are planned!
In view of the current developments regarding the coronavirus Covid-19, we are forced, with a heavy heart, to cancel all our planned concerts until the end of April.
Yesterday evening we already received the information from the band Root 70 that the tour on the occasion of their 20th anniversary unfortunately has to be cancelled. Those band members who reside in the USA would not have been able to travel home otherwise.
We did not take this decision lightly and are aware of the far-reaching consequences for the musicians* who are affected by a large number of cancellations. Therefore, none of our concerts should be canceled forever! Together with the musicians and venues involved, we are trying to find new dates!
In the past few days, we have already asked ourselves several times what an appropriate reaction to the situation should look like. What is exaggerated, even fearful or premature? These questions are receding more and more into the background for us as the events progress, and the question of a responsible approach comes first. In our view, we should do our utmost to slow the spread of the virus. In view of the facts available, it seems to us that this concern should be the decisive premise for our actions. In our case, this unfortunately includes the cancellation of planned Jazzclub live concerts and the concerts as part of our 2020 MusikZeit "All stops - the organ in jazz".
Affected are:
3/23 Root 70
25.3. little heroes #6 Wolfgang Schmid
26.3. Philipp Rumsch Ensemble
17.4. MusikZeit: Barbara Dennerlein
18.4. MusikZeit: Duo Krokenberger/Oehl
19.4. MusikZeit: Of Induction Wheels, Preacher Cords & Rock'n'Roll - a family concert and Werner Neumann Electric Trio
26.4. MusikZeit: Jo Aldingers Downbeatclub
27.4. MusikZeit: Goldings/Bernstein/Stewart
We hope for your and your understanding! Tickets already purchased in advance will keep their validity, but can also be returned at the advance booking office (Culton Ticket).
We will also refrain from publishing our jazz calendar in April. Dates for jazz and other music in and around Leipzig, which in all likelihood will take place as planned, can be found on our homepage from the last week of March.
