Triple concert with GORZ and a DJ set by MARIE TJONG-AYONG - HJirok is an art figure invented by singer Hani Mojtahedy. To provide a stage for this mythical figure, she uses recordings of Sufi music as well as field recordings from Kurdistan, which she processes into electronic sounds together with Siamand Mohammadi.
Their album "Hjirok" paints a picture of a utopian world where different cultures coexist. It metaphorically opens a home for all and promises a better, more egalitarian future. This message is accompanied by an exciting live audiovisual show that integrates photo and video footage taken during their travels.
With Hani Motjahedi's unconventional vocal techniques and polyglot lyrics, personal memories become political promises.
NOTE: The program was composed and produced together with Andi Toma (Mouse on Mars). Actually he was supposed to be on stage himself at the synthesizers, but due to illness he unfortunately has to cancel.
