MusikZeit "All stops - the organ in jazz".
Barbara Dennerlein attaches particular importance to her foot pedal playing on "the love of her life," the Hammond B3. Her left foot dances over the basses, while the right regulates the volume. Particularly because of this impressive footwork, Dennerlein's solo concerts leave no one wanting at her side. Self-taught, with not even two years of lessons, the native of Munich learned her instrument, grew on and with it, so that her question of a career intention simply did not arise. "It was simply that, this is me and this is my music". In Leipzig, Dennerlein will also make the 1656 pipes of the Jehmlich organ sound. She first played on a church organ at the request of the Bach Days Würzburg. In the meantime, she also composes especially for this instrument. Her solo album "My Moments", released in 2016, gives an impression of the sound worlds of both instruments.
