Let's talk about ...
John Scofield, Tord Gustavsen, Rolf & Joachim Kühn, Avishai Cohen, Baby Sommer, Robert Glasper, Martin Tingvall, Michael Wollny, Shai Maestro - 2014 was a very special year for Jazzclub Leipzig. From the "Sound of Heimat" at the 38th Leipzig Jazz Days to the German-Greek MusikZeit "Faust & Helena" and the Jazzclub live program, which once again received an award from the German government, to successful collaborations with naTo, the Campusfest and Schauspiel Leipzig, among others: almost 13,000 people attended the 109 concerts, almost 20% more than the already fantastic previous year.
Many, many thanks to all those who supported us, thank you to all donors, box office attendants, cable connectors, artist collectors, sandwich greasers, background workers, photo makers, jazz calendar distributors, poster hangers, amplifier repairers! Above all, thank you, dear audience, for your trust, your feedback and your passion.
And now off to the next round: 2015, we're ready!
For the start, we have given Jazzkalender more readability, clarity and beauty (thanks to you too, caligabimba) - but we also have a few other things up our sleeve...
