Surprise concert of friends who have not seen each other for a long time: Pianist Richie Beirach meets his old companion - New York-born saxophonist - Dave Liebman.

Richie Beirach and Dave Liebman became known mainly through the band Quest. In the early 80's the quartet formed with Dave Liebman, Richie Beirach, Ron McClure and Billy Hart. Their music was defined by the deep improvisational interaction between Liebman and Beirach. "Quest" became the epitome of modern jazz, merging extraordinary compositions with the high energy of the band's interaction. "The band released seven albums and toured the world countless times before disbanding in 1991.
Dave Liebman has been a presence on the jazz scene for nearly forty years, having begun his career in the early 1970s as a saxophonist and flutist in the bands of Miles Davis and Elvin Jones. He made nearly 300 recordings as a leader and sideman. In addition, he also authored several books on jazz improvisation that have been translated into several languages. Liebman is the founder and artistic director of the International Association of Schools of Jazz (IASJ), which has existed since 1989, and has received numerous awards. He is currently artist in residence at the Manhattan School of Music. He has been consistently ranked in the top 3 soprano saxophonists in the Downbeat Critic's Poll since 1973.
Together with bassist Robert Lucaciu and drummer Stan Neufeld, the old friends reunite in an exciting quartet.
