Insatiable energy and full body commitment. As part of the cooperation with the South Tyrol Jazz Festival, a dancer meets two double bass players. Prelude: Naïma Mazic & Haggai Cohen-Milo "of(f) rhythm"

In cooperation with the South Tyrol Jazz Festival, the two double bassists Mirko Giocondo and Luca Sbervegieri, together with the dancer Elisabeth Ramoser, set off on a journey to Leipzig for "Body Time". A theme that is as if tailor-made for this constellation, which has already caused profound affectations as a street performance (in an extended line-up with the dancer Stefania Bertola) in Merano and Lana. A photo in the Neue Südtiroler Zeitung shows bodies close to the ground, lying, half-sitting, tense on the jump: immobilized for a brief moment. The movements of the arms, legs, but also of the bow as well as the fingers on the fingerboard, however, cannot really be still - the dynamic jumps out of the picture. Lying on the back, the double bass as if floating above it: The scene testifies to insatiable energy and full body effort. "Body Time" can also mean that. Not only blisters on the hands and fingers or sore muscles in the arm, but completely deranged arrangements, lying playing, stacked sound organs or (instrument) bodies nestled into each other. Asked about the title of their Leipzig performances, the three musicians send the following lines, which express far more than any description ever could. To "Sugar" it says here:

"A breath | You enter | And something is entering into you | You are this open system | Now communicate. | Without trying. The more you feel the more you feel | Welcome in yourself | Breath | Freshness | Home | Happy birthday | Sugar".

Five bodies in a system that opens little by little. The stage the underground on which the system builds up: inhaling. At the same time, the stage the underground into which the system grows: exhaling. It grows up and down, forming new branches that come into contact with the environment. Sometimes as an invitation, sometimes as an imperative. Until the whole scenery has grown together and everything becomes feeling. Home. This is the premonition that precedes this constellation.
