MDR's Mid Summer Festival makes a guest appearance at the Telegraph ' Friday 6/26 at eight.
Tiit Kikas discovered his love for traditional music at a young age, for Irish, for Estonian, at some point traded his violin for an electric one, and now he is at home in both the acoustic and the electronic world, traditional and avant-garde. BALTIC SEA ELECTRO FOLK
Musicians of the band múm and Hauschka compose a joint work for orchestra, prepared piano, percussion and electronics, commissioned by MDR. "Drowning" - drowning, immersing - in water, light, music, in a fascinating, euphoric state, ambiguous and ethereal like múm's music. Orchestral timbres and electronics come together here, as in Tiit Kikas' remix of Tubin's Estonian Dances. Psychedelic.

CELTIC BLOCK PARTY
At the end of the GO-NORTH season, we will go through the musical world of the Celts, with extraordinary guests and works, from traditionals to their latest "readings". World Champion Bellatrix performs the world premiere of Gene Pritsker's Concerto for Beatbox and Orchestra, DJ Mr. Switch, who has already wowed Leipzig audiences and is also a World Champion, joins many others as the Midsummer Festival reaches its final climax.
