The music of the ensemble, founded in 1997, could be called genre-unfriendly - yet these fiery improvisations and razor-sharp compositions are of interest to a diverse range of listeners. Cuneiform Records speak of "dancing hippies in New Mexico and avant-garde enthusiasts in Vienna," among others. The band has already released eight albums and played hundreds of concerts. Through this multitude of live performances, the quintet's sound, based on the musicians' mutual trust, has evolved and sharpened. From minimalist new music, to cool jazz, rocky trace elements and folklore, John Hollenbeck's all-star ensemble from the USA knows how to convince completely.
