Double concert with Abacaxi - It is a story of getting to know each other, which - if you follow the dramaturgical rules of Hollywood - had to lead to a musical liaison. Drummer Tatu Rönkkö (Liima, Play Your Kitchen) and guitarist Kalle Kalima (Klima Kalima, Momentum Impakto) played together for the first time on the village square of a South Tyrolean mountain village at a so-called blind date gig.

Inspired by their joint improvisation, more concerts followed in Berlin and Hamburg. In September 2022, their first joint album was released on We Jazz Records. According to their self-description, the duo locates itself in post-jazz. In addition, influences from minimal and krautrock can be detected. Their tracks are reminiscent of song intros from "The Doors" and are an experimental hybrid to which echoes of electronic music are added. Lampen thus advances to a concert experience that should also be arousing for lovers of other genres.

Tatu Rönkkö has worked with artists such as Ilpo Väisänen (Pan Sonic), Samuli Kosminen (Múm), Jimi Tenor, Nils Frahm and Efterklang.
Kalle Kalima has composed orchestral music for the Lyon Opera, Ensemble Resonanz (chamber ensemble of the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg), the Umo Big Band and the Jousia Ensemble, among others. He has also worked with such greats as trumpeters Tomasz Stanko and Leo Wadada Smith, saxophonists Juhani Aaltonen and Anthony Braxton, bassists Greg Cohen and Sirone, guitarist Marc Ducret, composers Michael Wertmüller and Simon Stockhausen, and many, many more.
