Studnitzky KY

Fri 23.10. Werk 2, Hall D 7:30 p.m.
Electronic music-influenced aesthetics in small instrumental ensemble.
The ECHO Jazz award-winning trumpeter and pianist focuses on electronic music-influenced aesthetics in a small instrumental lineup on "KY".With equally virtuosic and unpretentious piano playing and his unique, almost sung trumpet sound, Studnitzky easily manages to combine concise grooves and sounds with beautifully clear and strikingly emotional melodies. Studnitzky's openness and cross-stylistic background manage to balance minimal techno with enchantingly refined vocal performances and open jazz improvisations with indie-pop harmonic sequences. He creates his very own style, accomplishing the balancing act of being contemporary modernist while radiating timelessness.
Studnitzky - trumpet, piano / Laurenz Karsten - guitar / Paul Kleber - bass / Tim Sarhan - drums
