After her second great solo album "Where Water Travels Home" (Jazzhaus Records) and the internationally acclaimed collaboration with Norwegian pianist Tord Gustavsen on the ECM album "What Was Said" (Jahrespreis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik), German-Afghan singer Simin Tander opens a new door in her artistic career. "Unfading" (Jazzhaus Records/ in-akustik) is the name of her new work, which she recorded with a freshly formed and unusually cast quartet. On it, the artist effortlessly weaves the creative flow of grounded songwriting with echoes of the archaic, linking the power of songs full of emotional depth with passages of improvisational freedom.
