Ten years after his first solo release "Null", the "force of nature on the double bass" once again focuses on his instrument.

The Cologne musician Robert Landfermann is considered one of the best and most innovative European jazz bassists of his generation. The WDR, SWR Jazz Prize winner and winner of the "New German Jazz Prize" has played in a wide variety of formations on all continents with world stars such as John Scofield, Lee Konitz, Yo-Yo Ma, Charlie Mariano, Joachim Kühn, Django Bates, Ralph Towner, Chris Potter, Tomasz Stanko and Barre Philips. He is known on the European scene as an outstanding improviser, both in the traditional jazz environment and in the experimental avant-garde scene. In 2009 Landfermann's first solo double bass release "Null" was released on the JazzHausMusik label.
