Festival program published!

The final planning for the Leipziger Jazztage 2021 is in full swing and the VVK has begun!

Just under six weeks before the start of the Leipzig Jazz Days 2021, the excitement is mounting! The final planning is in full swing. Due to the ongoing pandemic and the ups and downs of the incidences, there are still imponderables in the planning this year, but we and all the venues, musicians, sponsors and supporters involved in the festival are doing their best to continue the high spirits of last year.

Disciplined music-making bodies precisely remember the smallest movements and practice self-optimization in conjunction with a wide variety of instruments. They know aching limbs just as well as the heartbeat backstage and the happy hormones when thunderous applause begins. Musicians set trends and imitate them. They shape their bodies to please, provoke and protest: the focus of attention is the human body in its relationship to space, time and sound.

The program of the festival is now completely published (including Jakob Bro and Michael Wollny BAU.HAUS.KLANG and "First Dates" with Oliver Steidle and Steffi Narr, among others) and tickets for all program points can be purchased in advance. The opening evening of the 45th Leipzig Jazz Days "Body Time" will take place for the first time at the Musikalische Komödie and will traditionally begin with the concert of the Leipzig Jazz Nachwuchspreis winner. In 2021, the Jazz Nachwuchspreis of the City of Leipzig will be awarded for the 25th time with the support of the Marion Ermer Foundation. For the first time, we will also be playing the rooms of the Altes Stadtbad. Furthermore, venues throughout the city such as the UT Connewitz, the naTo and of course the Schaubühne Lindenfels or Werk 2 are represented as venues in the program.
