Wild Brush #1
The four musicians from Leipzig, London, Bolzano and Bern found each other at the Euregio Jazzwerkstatt and have since been exploring new paths together.
Spring 2018 - Brushing their teeth under a starry sky and a fondness for Moondog brought together four musicians from Leipzig, London, Bolzano and Bern. Roasting marshmallows, they sat around a campfire in the Dolomites and told each other about their punk, Italopop and baroque music influenced childhood. Today they play in bands whose names brave fans tattoo on their necks, but hero worship is not their thing. Wild Brush rely on the collective - from such a collective, the Euregio Jazzwerkstatt, they also emerge. The band vagabonds nonchalantly between Ornette Coleman, Led Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell, but doesn't allow itself to be pinned down to any of its references. "Anywhere I lay my head I call it home" could be their motto if someone else hadn't already made a great song out of that line.
This concert is part of the festival cooperation of the Leipziger Jazztage with the Südtirol Jazzfestival.
