Double concert with Jas Kayser - He is a virtuoso trumpeter, composer and producer - but that is not enough to describe the US musician Theo Croker. With his music he becomes an adventurer, is a storyteller and in all this always modern. So it's no wonder that he likes to expand the concept of jazz: his music oscillates between jazz, post-bop, funk and soul. In between, electronically influenced fusions and afrofuturistic energies mix.

Theo Croker built his last album almost script-like. Nevertheless, his music never seems cerebral, but is powerful, provocative, versatile and always with political core power. For the musician deals thematically with being black in his home country. In doing so, he works through the musical heritage and formative cultural achievements of his predecessors and illuminates their contribution to U.S. musical development. Influenced by this, he creates a new, modern sound that is unparalleled.
