The US-American presents her mix of soul, spoken word, R&B, jazz, hip hop and rock for the first time in Leipzig

The US-American Meshell Ndegeocello presents her unique mix of soul, spoken word, R&B, jazz, hip hop and rock. Anyone who has ever seen the Berlin-born bandleader, bassist and singer live knows: you have to expect the unexpected from her! Ndegeocello's music with its thoroughly critical lyrics testifies to a poetic, spiritual search for love, respect, justice and happiness. Groove and melody always play a big role - just like making music together: "When I write songs, program beats on the laptop and record demos, I have my own experiences in with it in my room, on the plane or in the hotel. And then I get together with my musicians, with whom I have an intimate musical relationship, and we then breathe life into the pieces."
Also performing that evening at the Opera House: The Bad Plus as well as the winning band of the BMW Welt Young Artist Jazz Award 2016.
