Matthias Schriefl received the German Record Critics' Award in 2012 for "Six, Alps and Jazz. In it, the sextet around trumpeter Schriefl approaches the Allgäu homeland with its characteristic sounds - and traditional instruments (alpine horns!). "Hausmusi" and club sounds result in innovative, improvised folk jazz.
