First performance! Singer Anne Munka and drummer Demian Kappenstein together create a multidimensional world of sounds.

Sounds, tones and words - everywhere. You listen intently, close your eyes, glide into the sea of sound that surrounds you. You disappear deep below its surface. The next moment you emerge, kicking, looking for the way out, trying to escape the whirlpool, to turn it off. Or do you not notice the sounds around you? But what is the sound of the silence you hear? A sound is an individual sensation and stimulates emotions, senses and thoughts like hardly anything else. Try it out and let yourself fall: Anne Munka is a singer. But more than that - she is a sound artist and lyricist. Together with the drummer Demian Kappenstein from Dresden, she creates her very own, multi-dimensional world of sounds on October 4 at the naTo.

"Into Me / Out Of Me" is the name of their interdisciplinary live format. Created in reference to a Berlin exhibition of the same name from 2006, it focuses on radical relationships between the inner and outer metabolism, the ingress and egress of a person or one of his body parts into and out of the body of another, and finally injury and disease. Munka/Kappenstein thus refer to this year's festival motto "Body Time".

Like their sound worlds themselves, their interpretation is multi-layered: in a personal, social and political dimension, the artists* deal with the physical. Anne Munka weaves her experiences as a singer, woman and mother, who moves between inspiration and self-empowerment, deep into her sound tapestry. Sung, spoken and noisy. Songs and narratives alternate with unconscious sounds, intuitive utterances and improvisational interaction. Sounds that oscillate symbiotically between concrete and vague. Anne Munka and Demian Kappenstein move along all these strands completely weightlessly and create a large-scale programmatic live collage. Associative spaces open up and invite you on this evening more than just to listen, also to feel! So listen, close your eyes for a moment and glide deep into the sea of sounds that surrounds you.
