This is jazz! This is punk! No matter what you want to call it - this goes through the ceiling and steeply!

KOMA SAXO is a new quintet full of power, produced by visionary bassist and producer Petter Eldh from Sweden, who lives and works in Berlin. The group brings together five greats of the jazz scene between Berlin and Scandinavia: Eldh on bass, Christian Lillinger on drums, and Otis Sandsjö, Jonas Kullhammar and Mikki Innanen on saxophone at the helm. Despite these imposing names, Koma Saxo is more than just another supergroup, but a real band with its own sound and its own way. In doing so, they go further than other avant-garde jazz with groove does in 2019. The bulk of the recordings for their first album came from their successful debut performance at the We Jazz Festival in Helsinki, which were then augmented in post-production by other live performances and studio sessions. The final result, which will also be heard on upcoming KOMA SAXO releases, was created through Eldh's tight-knit fine-tuning.

In Leipzig KOMA SAXO meets live for the first time the Dutch producer and DJ Jameszoo, who describes his music as "naive computer jazz". In 2020, the first joint single "Jagd" was released on We Jazz.
