Jazz for children: Peter's moon ride
Plant 2, Hall D
A live radio play based on a (true!) story by Gerdt von Bassewitz. By and with the vibraphonist Volker Heuken and the actor and speaker Stefan Kaminsky.
In order to find his lost leg, the cockchafer Mr. Sumsemann, together with the children Peter and Anneliese, sets off for the moon and meets the funny sky cows, the mysterious night fairy and the angry Milky Way man.
107 years ago, the story was first performed as a fairy tale play at the Alte Theater Leipzig, now the two elective Leipzigers Volker Heuken and Stefan Kaminsky have taken on the exciting journey into space of the cockchafer and composed and conceived an exciting live radio play....
