Daniel Erdmann & Samuel Rohrer "Ten Pictures about real Utopia".
feat. Frank Möbus, Vincent Courtois and Jean Michael Hannecart (live painting)
In its 40th edition from September 29 to October 8, 2016, the Leipzig Jazz Days are dedicated to the "Fine Arts". The Jazzclub Leipzig will be presenting numerous in-house productions and commissioned works with international participation that combine different arts.
In "Ten Pictures about real Utopia", this is exactly what happens. The Jazzau quartet Daniel Erdmann, Samuel Rohrer, Vincent Courtois and Frank Möbus improvise musically, while the artist Jean Michel Hannecart paints abstract pictures live. He uses a technique that originates from the Flemish school of the 15th century: liquid chalk is applied to a black board, with sponge, water and brush the picture is created, whose creation the audience can follow on the screen at the UT Connewitz.
