Electric guitar and church organ in a night concert. This rarely heard line-up presents two Leipzig musicians performing together for the first time: Markus Rom, virtuoso player on the electric guitar augmented by effect boards, electronics and frickling sound objects (including Oh No Noh, Elephants On Tape, Philipp Rumsch Ensemble) and Daniel Beilschmidt, Leipzig university organist, border-crossing improviser and composer (Mud Mahaka, Euphorium Freakestra) set a resting point to close the second day of the festival. The enormous dynamic range of both instruments and the inspiring space of the nocturnal Liebfrauenkirche form the starting point for the continuous set "Rumors from an Aeolian Harp". The aeolian harp forms the quasi ideal-typical interweaving of guitar and organ (strings stimulated by the wind). For the North American poet H.D. Thoreau it is a symbol of the harmony of the spheres. In his view of nature, it is the first telegraph lines of the 19th century that, as resounding sound installations, allow us to sense the universe as a chain of the finest vibrations.
