Spring 2018 - brushing their teeth under a starry sky and a fondness for Moondog brought four musicians from Leipzig, London, Bolzano and Bern together. They sat around a campfire in the Dolomites roasting marshmallows and talking about their punk, Italopop and baroque music-influenced childhoods. Today, they play in bands whose names brave fans tattoo on their necks, but hero worship is not their thing. Wild Brush rely on the collective - they also emerged from one such collective, the Euregio Jazzwerkstatt. The band nonchalantly wanders between Ornette Coleman, Led Zeppelin and Joni Mitchell, but cannot be pinned down to any of their references. "Anywhere I lay my head I call it home" could be their motto if someone else hadn't already made a great song out of this line.

This concert is part of the festival cooperation of the Leipziger Jazztage with the Südtirol Jazzfestival.
