Jazz days in full swing
You don't know what you should be more happy about: the great concerts since Friday without exception or the full houses at these concerts without exception?
The 37th Leipzig Jazz Days move to the Opera House tomorrow, but what has happened on and in front of the stages so far can already be described as a complete success. On Friday and Saturday, the UT Connewitz was practically sold out, Eva Klesse, Eric Schaefer and Supersilent thrilled the audience with charm, with groove and also with volume. There was similar enthusiasm on Saturday and Sunday at and in the Völkerschlachtdenkmal: Thomas Hertel's "leipzig. 1813. dead men walking" offered great pictures and above all wonderful music in the historical monument. This was also the case on Sunday in the Michaeliskirche, when Heinz Sauer & Michael Wollny exceeded the high expectations of their concert. Then on Monday Moritz Sembritzki and Das VIELE also surpassed themselves. Das Horns Erben was bursting at the seams. Enthusiasm in all faces - regret only in those who could not find a place in the hall. The concert of the total of seven Three from the Rhine then let Frank Zappa haunt the walls of the Moritzbastei on Tuesday - and the audience dance.
Today, at Galerie KUB, it's first "Here Comes the Sun" in a tribute to George Harrison, before the night can come. We'll spend it at Conne Island with Jan Roth, Lawrence, John Roberts, Rentek - and surely countless people in front of the stage again.
