The 36th Leipzig Jazz Days came to an end last Sunday at the sold-out Neues Schauspiel Leipzig. Under frenetic cheers there was a closing party with black coffee and a special Hendrix special. Now it's time to clean up, sort and count...

The 36th Leipzig Jazz Days took place from September 21 to 30. They involved again this year two important names: Gil Evans, the father of cool jazz and Jimi Hendrix, with his most famous band Experience. The festival showed the great influence their music still has today, especially how their music has been transformed by today's artists.
