Double concert with LINDA FREDRIKSSON "JUNIPER" - An all-female super-group from Denmark, Norway and Sweden around the internationally esteemed composer and multi-instrumentalist Marilyn Mazur, who already worked with Miles Davis, Gil Evans, Wayne Shorter and later also with Jan Garbarek in the 80s.

Together, the eight musicians of Shamania bring a primal power and fascinating rhythms to the stage by means of impressive energies and enchant the audience with atmospheric moods, as well as moments of pure wonder. Their shamanic spirit is based on the idea of a modern tribal gathering of female musical forces in an experimental context, focusing entirely on rhythm, body and voice.

Bongos, congas, kalimba, drums and tuned gongs from all over the world up to the Norwegian goat horn: The extraordinary richness of sound colors, together with other instruments, shapes the unmistakable Shamania sound and, together with brilliant rhythms, forms the trademark of Marilyn Mazur.

Music that often seems ritualistic, with an unerring sense for outstanding dialogues, solos and improvisations.

Followed by Linda Fredriksson "Juniper"
