Double concert with MARILYN MAZUR'S SHAMANIA - The minimalist nature of the music in Linda Fredriksson's debut album "Juniper" (We Jazz Records) reflects a creative process marked by deliberate isolation and do-it-yourself production: a highly personal musical diary.

Linda Fredriksson is known for a unique, genre-bending improvisational style on alto and baritone saxophone, which developed with participations in the punky "Trio Mopo" as well as the hip-hop band "Ricky Tick Big."

"Juniper" also marks a critically acclaimed debut as a compositional and musical director. Over several years Linda Fredriksson collected the ideas sounded in it and withdrew to work on the demos. Present were only the familiar saxophones, old guitars and simple keyboards. Finally, the recordings took place with the full line-up both in studios and in summer houses. The interesting thing was that, in addition to high-quality studio equipment, modest cell phone and laptop microphones were also used.
