LEIPZIGER JAZzTAGE

Ensemble Ambidexter

Tue, 20.10 Main Station, East Hall 18:00 h
Transit par excellence! At the place of places of transition. The ensemble makes its way to its audience.

The 8-member band has set itself the goal of playing in places that are first and foremost not concert halls. It happens, for example, that they play in prisons, kindergartens or schools for people with disabilities. People who are unable to make it to hip venues or magnificent halls due to illness, lack of financial means or a prison sentence are given the opportunity to experience music at a high level. To this end, the ensemble tours the country, traveling to the audience instead of luring them to the venue, as is usually the case.
Markus Stolz - violin / Floortje Beljon - violin / Steffanie Bühler - viola / Paula Schiefercke - cello / Andris Meinig - double bass / Christopher Kunz - saxophone / Georg Demel - trombone / Johannes von Buttlar - drums
