Conny Bauer was already part of the 1st Leipziger Jazztage - now the East German eminence of free improvisation comes back to the city.
The trio Bauer / Bauer / Narvesen stands for their very own, unmistakable sounds, curiosity and the joy of exciting interplay. Trombonist Conny Bauer, bassist Matthias Bauer and drummer Dag Magnus Narvesen explore new forms of musical dialogue. Three generations and three very different musical biographies meet here. They play solo, come together in alternating duos, and finally let their sound pictures emerge in a trio, which sometimes captivate with expressive and then again with tender, quiet tones. In spring 2020 the LP "THE GIFT" was released, a live recording of the concert on the occasion of Conny Bauer's 75th birthday, which took place in the Christuskirche in Berlin in summer 2018.
