Arne Reimer "American Jazz Heroes"

As part of a "Making of" exhibition, photographer Arne Reimer lets us take a look behind the scenes of his work.

In an exhibition, Reimer shows the pictures of his book project "American Jazz Heroes", for which he visited older jazz legends in the USA at home between 2010 and 2016, photographed them and conducted conversations.
For "Transitions" he opens his archive and adds portraits of younger American musicians* and likewise musicians* from Europe. He tells of his encounters, with sad stories of old age having as much place as funny anecdotes.
