Jazzclub Live: Root 70 "Wise Men Can Be Wrong
TIP
Four "middle aged jazz gentlemen" gather their favorite pieces of the Great American Songbook, record them and assemble them on an album. In the case of the Zurich-Belgrade-New York quartet Root 70, this means, of course, that almost all the pieces are "first takes," diamonds that have not been polished to death. Band leader and trombonist Nils Wogram, alto saxophonist Hayden Chisholm, double bassist Matt Penman and drummer Jochen Rückert present the pieces of the new Root 70 album "Wise Men Can Be Wrong" for the first time in Leipzig and the audience will think again: these men can't be wrong.
