Anamorphosis

In the summer of 2021 Johannes Moritz will form a new ensemble around his quartet, which has existed for ten years, expanded by Antonia Hausmann on trombone and Volker Heuken on vibraphone & marimba. 

The band name Anamorphosis refers to "anamorphosis" - the art of distorted representation (and perception) through a mirror or change of perspective. Johannes Moritz integrates this art into the quartet - on the one hand through powerful sounds, on the other hand through the ever new twists and turns within the interplay of the 6 musicians*.
