Of course, band names need not be overrated (after all, Die Ärzte are no more doctors than Dr. Motte), but the name certainly seems to be a fitting key with this band: Peter Meyer, Bernhard Meyer and Moritz Baumgärtner (in addition to "Melt," this would also verify "Trio") have made the merging of acoustic and electronic sounds, of composed and improvised passages, and of influences from jazz, classical music and prog rock so much a principle of their music that even guests like Jan Bang (at XJazz 2015) are sucked in to such an extent that even they seem like natural components. However, we invite them to the Neues Schauspiel as a real trio, with the new record "Stroy". And this one, too, seems like a meandering river, sometimes contemplative, sometimes riddled with rapids.
