Just as you close one door with a sense of fulfillment, glad that something is done, that it can rest for now, that it went well, and that you can move on to the next step with a positive outlook… That’s exactly when the next door opens—one that’s already been ajar the moment you spot it. As the saying goes: “One chapter closes, a new one opens”—or, in other words: “ Leipziger Jazztage ” is over, and the new season kicks off with “ Jazzclub Live.”
The 47th edition of the Leipziger Jazztage has just come to a close and while the last notes still ring in our ears and we’re still mentally replaying still vividly in our minds, we open
we open the next door to a room full of new musical encounters. Because: Our Jazzclub Live concert series starts again this month again this month and we can hardly can hardly wait! Let's start the November with a rhythmic with a rhythmic bang: On 17.11. with the Yuval Ron Trio. The trio comes in astronaut costumes and takes us on an an intergalactic journey in which music music and visual effects merge together. merge together.
But that's not all, because we also have a (tadadadaaaa) Flashback in the luggage! On November 22nd you can expect a moving musical homage to one of the most talented trombonists of the avant-garde and free jazz: Grachan Moncur III. For this spectacle Georg Demel, Tobi Fröhlich, Uli Hübner, Olga Reznichenko and Philippos Thönes together on stage.
