Lost Places event series - one tour, three concerts. The two other acts are Maria Reich and Jonas Dorn & Ruth Goller. (Start: 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.)

The usual solo singing paths interest Laura Totenhagen just as little as double bottoms, safety nets or clichés. Thus, in her performance, she does without anything concealing that could keep her from an engaging directness: She wants to challenge herself and let herself fall at the same moment.
The lyrics, themes and performances of her solo a cappella program are created in collaboration with Australian guitarist and songwriter Ursula Martyn-Ellis and dancer, choreographer and activist Valerie Ebuwa.

Cologne-based vocalist and improviser Laura Totenhagen is a unique musician with a special approach to composition, vocal sound production and consistent development. She explores unusual vocal sounds, uses extended techniques and experiments with proximity, imperfection, repetition and reduction. It is not for nothing that Totenhagen was described by DIE ZEIT as "Laura is high-end".

Festival pass holders* must register for this event as capacity is very limited. Registrations at tickets@jazzclub-leipzig.de
