Lost Places event series - one tour, three concerts... The two other acts are Laura Totenhagen and Jonas Dorn & Ruth Goller. (Start: 2:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.)

Maria I. J. Reich is a Berlin-based musician, composer and author who is active in numerous projects as a violinist, composer and arranger. She plays in the border area of improvised and composed music and also locates her compositions in this field. Her compositional spectrum ranges from chamber music, theater and film music to special commissioned works. 2020-2022 Reich received grants for her compositional work from Musikfonds, Deutscher Musikrat and Kulturprojekte Berlin.

As part of the Leipzig Jazz Days, Reich will be on stage as the Maria Reich Quartet with Neasa NíBhriain, Jakob Nierenz and Meike-Lu Schneider. And that as First Date!

The Leipziger Jazztage place a special focus on new musical encounters: Artists* who have never made music together before are invited to celebrate their first collaboration on one of our festival stages in resonance with the audience. With few or even no previous rehearsals, these concerts are carried by the tension of a first acquaintance, by joyful expectations or cautious skepticism, which at best gradually transforms into familiarity.

Festival pass holders* must register for this event as capacity is very limited. Registrations at tickts@jazzclub-leipzig.de
