On the occasion of the 36th Leipzig Jazz Days, Jan Vogler will form a "Machine Gun" out of his 1707 Stradivarius violoncello and reinterpret Jimi Hendrix's song of the same name on the three-hundred-year-old instrument. In doing so, he will straddle the intersection of classical, jazz and new music and provide the audience with an unforgettable evening.
