"Jazz is perfect for storytelling": Interview with Robert Lucaciu

In the run-up to the festival, we asked Robert Lucaciu about his work as a member of the Leipzig Jazz Days 2024 board of trustees. Robert himself is a trained double bass player and has been active in the local and national jazz scene for many years. Since October 2024, he has also been a professor of jazz bass at the University of Music in Nuremberg.

We spoke to him about his work on the festival board, his first visit to the Leipziger Jazztage and which acts he is particularly looking forward to this year.

Note: Unfortunately, there were technical problems with the microphone from minute 05:21 onwards, so the sound was only recorded with the camera microphone from this point onwards. We apologize for this.
