For many, it was one of the highlights of this year's Leipziger Jazztage: for the first time, the celebrated South African pianist and singer Nduduzo Makhathini performed as a duo with the multi-award-winning British musician SHABAKA on Monday evening. The evening was opened by New York vibraphone virtuoso Patrica Brennan. Our author Philipp Mantze was there and shares his impressions with us in his podcast contribution.
