44th Leipzig Jazz Days

Beyond the shyness of the radical provisional, the music festival will take place - as planned in pre-crisis times - from October 15 - 24, 2020!

Also in this hook-beating year we would like to stick to the tradition of the Leipzig Jazz Days and organize concerts at a variety of venues. This year, the festival will open at the Kunstkraftwerk, in Leipzig's West, with the awarding of the City of Leipzig's Jazz Young Talent Prize with the support of the Marion Ermer Foundation, followed by a concert. Just as we would not want to miss an extraordinary final evening at the Opera House, we will again bring concerts to the mystical UT Connewitz in Leipzig's south and to the socio-cultural center die naTo. At night, a trip to one or the other church will be worthwhile. And even if dance floors are still not allowed to quake under our euphoric steps, we remain faithful to clubs like Werk 2. With this year's festival motto "Transitions", we would like to correspond to the spirit of the times and address transitions from different perspectives, with regional musicians and supra-regional guests.
