TELESKOPradius #2: LudoWic + Inka Perl
Prices
We've known "Space Is The Place" since Sun Ra's 1973 album of the same name. Dutch composer Matheus Lodewijk aka LudoWic seems to have internalized the Afrofuturism pioneer's mantra - his music literally catapults you into those spheres where the laws of gravity are suspended.
He recently released his latest album "Horizontal Fall", which once again forms a delicately arranged conglomerate of cinematic ambient soundscapes. The trautonium, a vintage synthesizer developed by Friedrich Trautwein in Berlin in 1929 and further developed in subsequent years in collaboration with Oskar Sala, plays a key role in his unique sound aesthetic.
While the visual level initially remains abstract when listening to Lodewijk's pieces, it becomes concrete as part of the TELESKOPradius series at UT Connewitz: he will be joined on stage by Leipzig artist Inka Perl, who will create a dreamlike stage set in the truest sense of the word from the crossover of photograms, assemblages, moving images and installations.
