SV Sued at the naTo
In March 2012, the BigBand"Spielvereinigung Süd" will give concerts throughout Germany with the Dresden composer and arranger Thomas Zoll er. The program entitled "Zollers Expeditions Orkest" consists exclusively of compositions and arrangements by Thomas Zoller and will be recorded following the tour.
Zoller's music takes an individual and unconventional path, combining big band jazz with free jazz, free funk, rock and electronic music. Influences and elements from chamber and new music enrich the music in a compositionally highly interesting way. The goal is a completely independent, fresh sound world for big band, which is expanded by adding a classical percussionist as well as other auflermusical sound generators.
