South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige (June 26–July 5, 2026)

The South Tyrol Jazz Festival Alto Adige has always been a melting pot of contrasts: peaks and valleys, nature and industrial charm, sound and silence—all of which come together to create a cultural experience that is likely unique in its kind.
This year’s edition focuses on an artistic exploration of the theme “Sound.” Kicking things off on the last weekend in June is the Gard Nilssen Supersonic Orchestra from Norway: with a triple rhythm section and brass section, they will undoubtedly live up to the “supersonic” claim in their name. The ensemble’s 16 members will also play a decisive role in shaping the rest of the festival as they perform various projects at the numerous festival venues.
In addition to tried-and-true venues, this year’s edition has also secured some new locations. There, audiences will be able to enjoy some of today’s most promising jazz acts, including the Sheen Trio, Felix Hauptmann, VAAGUE, Nubu, BODIES, and many other projects.
