Soundtracking is the term used in music sociology to describe the current trend of more and more people functionalizing music for their own lives. Specially curated playlists are used to manage everyday tasks: a soundtrack for jogging, cleaning and studying.

Exactly the opposite seems to be the case with the current album "Life Score" by the Nils Kugelmann Trio: Scenes and stories of life are told in a manner similar to film music. Even if it seems daring to dedicate a film score to life at such a young age, the jazz world and press are convinced: the bassist and his trio have risen to become one of the scene's most important protagonists over the years and through the award ceremonies.

A leading role that never becomes obtrusive - his compositions are of restrained beauty. Catchy motifs, rousing cascades of sound and, finally, authoritative bass lines create the trio's unmistakable sound. And the most important thing: plenty of space for the listener to find themselves and their own lives in the pieces.
