Monday jazz in the temporary store: Ronja Sophie Putz // xlush

Violin, voice and body - all one with Ronja Sophie Putz. This is reminiscent of the media-theoretical forefather McLuhan, who wrote so beautifully: "All media are extensions of some human faculty". And it is precisely this sentence that is Putz's program.
The boundaries between instrument and human, silence and sound, electronics and acoustics become blurred. In the past, she has distinguished herself as an experimental artist - always in search of new ways of expression. That's why we can also look forward to this evening to see what means she will use, improvised or prepared, to expand her body of sound.
Pushing the boundaries and expanding are also the declared aims of the following quartet. The four Leipzig musicians from xlush perform with a thoroughly unconventional line-up of violin, guitar, saxophone and drums. But without the bass, there is a spontaneous lightness that draws you deep into the music, which is enriched with electronic effects. With their debut album "panae", released in 2023, they have already produced a small one-take wonder in this respect.
